Our client in Cape Town has an opening for an ophthalmic assistant / clinical assistant for their ophthalmology practice.
Responsibilities
Perform auto refractions, visual acuity tests, OCTs, visual field tests, history taking, and administer eye drops.
Document clinical information
Prepare patients for consultation
Educate patients on eye care
Prepare patients for theatre and post-op
Assist ophthalmologist with small procedures
Assist ophthalmologist with LASIK procedures
Experience
At least a Level 1 or 2 ophthalmic assistant certificate
Medical industry experience

At least a Level 1 or 2 ophthalmic assistant certificate
